Shatter Me

This is a very personal piece inspired by the bridge of  Lindsey Stirling's new song, Shatter Me.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=49tpIM…

If I break the glass, then I'll have to fly
There's no one to catch me if I take a dive
I'm scared of change, and the days stay the same
The world is spinning but only in gray

In this part of the song, the dancer in the globe realizes only she can free herself and no one else can shatter her cage for her. That is what I tried to portray in this image. I used multiple images of the same model in the picture frames to represent trying to break free and when she emerges from the crack she realizes, only she has the power to free herself. Also, the bat and butterflies are motifs from the video where as Lindsey stares out of the glass globe, she sees the reflection of a butterfly that passes the surface of the glass before morphing into a bat.
